Brief History: The Royal Albert Hall is one of London’s most iconic buildings; opened in 1871 by Queen Victoria and dedicated to Prince Albert. The building continues to hold a variety of events from classical performances, ballet, tennis, and film screenings.
Personal Experience: Easily one of my favourite buildings in London. When I was very young my parents took me to see a performance, The 1812 Overture, and we sat in the choir right behind the band and it was incredible! In more recent years I have seen The Killers (a performance that was recorded for a DVD), and last year Bring Me The Horizon performed with a live orchestra, ed by one of my favourite bands PVRIS. I have also been on a architectural tour of the building which was fascinating and I would recommend very highly if you are into that sort of thing.
