From a band more well-known for focussing on the less happy side of our existence comes a surprisingly not-quite-miserable Christmas jingle. Oh, and the video is loaded with kittens because… well, because kittens.
The Newcastle-based band have a reputation for tapping into morose subject matter in their work (for example, their sophomore album which was released in October was given the seasonally appropriate title of In The Haunted Woods), but “Tinsel Tinged Dreamin” is a total divergence from that. It’s the band’s self-described “guilty secret” to the extent where they almost didn’t decide to have it land in our inbox. However, after all that has gone on this year, they decided it was time to let the secret out.
