Definitely fitting into the “New” category, Vanquish the King have recently released their debut single with a full EP coming soon.
They come from Bend (snigger) in Oregon which is somewhere in that big landmass a few thousand miles west of here. The founder member Griffin dropped me an email to point me towards their facefart page which has a teensy bit of information on them, but is well updated with current information.
Their genre is “metal/hardcore” which I suppose some people will shrink down to the oft-criticised “metalcore”. I can only judge from the single they’ve posted (see below – if you want to them you can buy it for a dollar on bandcamp), but what I hear, I like.
I don’t have a date the EP as yet, but if Griffin gives me a shout (hint, hint!) I’ll be sure to mention it.
