The third in my quick triumvirate of smaller bands with a Les-Fest link is Afterlife. Like yesterday’s Colours to Shame, they’re from Glasgow but their musical style is a little more mainstream. Classing themselves as “hard rock”, they’ve released one EP – Alpha – and a full length album – Omega (actually, I think that comes out on December 2nd).
I know it’s a fine line, but I’d push them over it into “metal” rather than “rock”, but I’d be splitting titanium hairs. They’re quite heavy, with nice crunchy guitars and strident vocals.
Very brief feature today as I’m pushed for time. Please don’t make that mean any less in the “give them a listen and a like” stakes, though!
