Well, that has to rank as one of the oddest names I’ve encountered for a band! Their music, though, isn’t odd but it does cross a couple of genres – death and progressive metal.
Formed in 2010, the five-piece released their debut album, Between Mirrors: The Quantum Immortality, in 2012. Two years later and they’ve just (last month) followed it up with Primitives. As well as writing and performing the music, all recording and production was done in-house and the artwork for the sleeve was designed by the band. As such, I reckon they must be pretty pleased with the end result and their control over it!
While I’m not a huge fan of the “technical” style – it’s too jumpy and arrhythmic for me – there’s no denying the skill, effort and expertise that’s gone into the album. Musical styles abound across all of the tracks and I know so many people who do like this genre who are raging about this band that I’m more than happy to recommend it to others.
You can check out a few tracks on their bandcamp and reverbnation pages (links below) and pick the album up as of last month!
