Another of our occasional solo acts, today – this time someone backed by a blood sucking vampire girl, which is always a selling point…
Simple things first – where are you from?
I am from different places. Now living in Sweden and Los Angeles.
How did you meet the people who help with your recordings?
Well, I’m a solo act with some help from my +1 vocalist and blood sucking vampire girl Thirsty. I met her while put in an asylum.
How long have you been playing as a band?
I started three years ago by myself. Along the way I started working with amazing people that have helped to create the Scarlet content.
Before you get sick of being asked… where does the band name come from?
First of all, it’s my actual name! And second, the name has different meaning to different people and I like that diversity.
What are your influences?
I don’t have any particular musical influences. I get inspired by people’s life stories and human history in general.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
My music is three-minute songs written in a pop format with a little rap, a little singing and a lot of anger 😊 There is nothing really unique about it, just different awesome components put together.

Do you have any particular lyrical themes?
No not really, or yes, I guess the theme would be “my life”.
What’s your live show like? How many shows have you played?
The live shows are definitely something special that we put a lot of time and resources into. It’s very visually stimulating 😉 I have played about 12 gigs so far and that includes both Sweden Rock Festival and Gefle Metal Festival.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
Haha, it seems like every live show is a fucking wild party. One of my first gigs I had a death threat so the promoter had to place security all around the stage. One time my sidekick Thirsty bit me too hard in the neck so I started to bleed real bad and she threw up behind the stage.
What kit do you use / guitars do you play / etc.?
Perl, Schecter and Ibanez.
What, if anything, are you plugging/promoting at the moment?
My debut album Obey The Queen, which was released on 13th November!

What are your plans over the next 6 months or so?
Releasing the first album and starting to write the second album! Build the brand!
If you were second on a three-band bill, which band would you love to be ing and which band would you choose to open for you? A chance to plug someone you’ve toured with, or a mate’s band we’ve not heard of before!
I want to Slipknot and have Swedish rap metal group LOK as the opening act.
