I wasn’t going to do this. I’ve featured Leo Moracchioli before so I don’t want to turn this into “his” feature given that he predominantly produces metal cover, but… I just spent the better part of an hour catching up on his work that I missed and just had to pop another one up on here.
It wasn’t too hard to choose one. I love the original of this track and it’s verging on metal as it is – guitar led, screamed vocals and incredible meaning to the lyrics. The Cranberries aren’t a metal act but this track allows them to sit at the metal table as honorary guests. Moracchioli and his bass-hefting wife have upped it into the metalsphere with a version that plays on the strengths of the original.
Enjoy. I’m off to listen to a few more from his playlist.
