Elvana are the world’s first (and likely last) Elvis-fronted tribute to Nirvana. If something could ever be called “niche”, this is it. Hailing from Graceland (by way of Newcastle-upon-Tyne), the band are a three piece plus the glittery suit-wearing reincarnation of the King of rock and roll. No, not Buddy Holly. The one who porked out on burgers on the toilet.
Going by the live video below, they’re a bit of a giggle. If off-kilter, fun tribute acts are your thing (and who doesn’t like a dose of Tragedy?) then they could be well worth checking out live. As luck would have it, they’re playing quite a few dates across the UK. You’ve missed a couple but there are plenty coming up which you can see listed at the top of their facebook page.
