If you don’t already know, awesome UK punk band Healthy Junkies are releasing their new album Forever On The Road this Friday. We’ve featured the band a few times and we’re looking forward to its release.
The album soundtracks their 2018 USA tour and the band have just unveiled a cover of Nirvana’s “Something In The Way” from the album, inspired by the time they met Krist Novoselic in Seattle during the tour. You can check it out below, and for our money it’s what a cover version should be: a reworking rather than a note-for-note re-recording of the original. It’s slower and creepier than the original (which is impressive given that the original was somewhat eerie), and gets right into your psyche.
