“Potter’s Field” is the second of a 12-part episodic release in tribute to Joey Diabolic’s all-time favorite horror film series, A Nightmare On Elm Street. The multi-instrumentalist and composer will put out 1-2 songs per week on YouTube, including both originals and covers.
This particular song has been remixed before, one particular version being featured on Anthrax’s Attack of the Killer A’s album, where a version was conjured up as the “Hypo Luxa Hermes Pan Remix” by Al Jourgensen & Paul Barker of Ministry. Joey Diabolic has done a good job taking this track and reinventing it in his own fashion. As he its, his vocals aren’t Bush’s but they’re a good effort especially given all the different voices used to give an interesting feel to the song. It’s certainly original, though keeps the soul of the parent version intact.

While being influenced by his dominion of horror, my release has a slight deviation to the original overarching storyline of Freddy Krueger… So in that regard, there’s also an element of fan-fiction throughout this series. Yes, I’m well aware that I’m incapable of singing like the mighty John Bush. I tried and it was a fucking disaster, lol.
