OK, this isn’t a classic cover as the original isn’t a classic IMHO – I really can’t stand it. But, hey, it’s famous and in all honesty the Aussie power metal merchants Silent Knights have nailed it. Their version of Lady Gaga’s mysteriously massive hit is every bit as bonkers and as the original while being infused with widdly guitars and wailing vocals.

Punctuating the raw intensity are breaths of stripped-back verses showcasing Dan Brittain’s second to none vocal delivery. Chorus’s herald an impeccable contrast to the rest of the track showcasing more of Brittian’s range with hook-laden vocals that cut through the heaviness of the instrumentation. The crescendo is a heavy onslaught of sweep-picked guitars followed by a fluid guitar solo incorporating the masterful use of a Floyd Rose. Throughout the entirety of the track, Silent Knight masterfully showcase Iron Maiden-esque guitar, drum, and bass patterns throughout each age and anthemic choruses reminiscent of Children of Bodom and Helloween.
