The Beatersband, all the way from Italy which I’m sure is getting nicer weather than us, got in touch to tell us about their new album VOL.TRE. They bill themselves as “punk n’ roll” which is a nice combination that I quite like so I hopped over to Bandcamp and gave it a listen.
It’s a nice bunch of rock n’ roll covers done over with a punk vibe, as you’d expect so I decided to pop it up under our Classic Covers banner to hopefully catch a few eyes! I’ve focused on their cover of Jackie DeShannon’s “When You Walk In The Room”, mainly as it’s the one they’ve done a video for. However, the whole album is pretty good. The punk feel is very prevalent, and the bass just thrums through most of the songs. Every track is faithful to the original with the addition of the band’s own style.
