Pteroglyph rocked the second stage at Wildfire last weekend and vocalist/guitarist/drummer/actually-everything Jimmy MacGregor took a few minutes to answer our quickfire interview questions. You can find our full gallery of photos from their set over on Flickr.
How did you find it at Wildfire?
Wildfire Festival was amazing, we had the most amount of fun ever! From partying hard on the Friday night to playing our set and checking out loads of great bands, it was amazing!
With the short set times, how did you pick out the tracks you were going to play?
We have a pretty standard set of songs that are the same for every show but we decided to drop our last song in favour of playing on old school Metallica classic! It went down a treat apart from the fact I forgot most of the words half way through! Haha! Whoops!
What’s your best memory of the weekend (on stage or off?)
It would easily be playing our set to loads of people! Everyone seemed to really enjoy it and we got a really cool vibe from anyone making us play as hard and as well as we could!
What other bands on the bill were your pick of the weekend (or just the day if you couldn’t stay!)?
There were so many great bands playing that there’s too many to choose from!
I know KC from The Idol Dead from ages ago and they did an absolutely cracking job of starting off the Saturday on the main stage, also we managed to catch the guys in Die No More who were amazing!
The day before we headed up to Wildfire we had the pleasure of playing with DogTired who also played Wildfire Fest this year! They were phenomenal when we played with them but unfortunately missed their set at the festival.
What’s next for the band? More dates coming up, new material…?
Lots of dates all over the place, hopefully a mini UK tour before November and I’m currently working on and recording the first full length Pteroglyph album which is pretty exciting! Stay tuned!
