Here we go again… Last year we covered every band on the Hobgoblin New Blood and Jagermeister stages in the run-up to Bloodstock 2015. This year, we’re going one better and aim to have interviews from all the bands on those two stages as well as all of those on the SOPHIE stage prior to the event kicking off on August 11th. That’s almost 100 interviews to get online for you lucky people over the course of the next couple of weeks. I bloody love this job, but you lot owe me a beer at Catton Hall, right?

Fury – SOPHIE stage, Friday
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
We are from Worcester, home of the sauce, Edward Elgar and Fury!
How did you meet?
We all played in various bands around the Worcester area and we were the guys who stuck to rock n’ roll the longest and ended up all playing together.
How long have you been playing together as a band?
The current line up have been playing together since 2012.
Where does the name of the band come from?
Julian the singer came up with it when he was a nipper!
What are your influences – individually or as a band?
We all like the big metal bands: Metallica, Maiden etc but we all like to dip in to the blues, older pop music, rock and roll etc.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
We are hard rocking, melodic and some would even say fantasy core. People can pick up our new CD from www.furyofficial.com – it’s damn good! [I’ve not heard it yet but it has some of the best cover art I’ve seen in recent years! Mosh]
What’s your live show like – why should the baying hordes troop over to the stage you’re playing on to watch you?
Our live shows are full of energy and fun and we urge anyone to see that for themselves.
When/how did you find out you’d been selected to play at Bloodstock?
Simon Hall called us up after he had heard our new album and said would we fancy playing the Sophie stage. Obviously we had to spend some time thinking about the offer… ;)
What sort of setlist can we expect?
A very good one!
Which main stage band do you most hope you’re not clashing with so you can see them play?
We aren’t clashing with any so we can enjoy all our favourite bands!
What are you working on at the moment?
Our Scottish accents. Work in progress.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done on tour?
Martin once put three teaspoons of sugar in his tea.
What advice would you give to a young band just starting out today?
If you think you have got what it takes then work hard, don’t be afraid to pick and choose the gigs that will be good for your band and do not allow the bad times cloud the good. Being in a band is great.

We are first on the Sophie stage on the Friday so I’m guessing around 11am.
