You just finished playing on the Sophie stage about an hour ago. How was it for you guys?

It was great, to be honest, mate. One of the best shows we’ve ever played, the tent was packed and the pit opened up. Couldn’t ask for anything better.

You’ve also recently released a new album to ‘rave reviews’. How do you feel the response has been?

We all agree that the reviews have been incredibly positive. It hasn’t been out long but we’ve gained a lot of momentum from it. We were slightly worried as we changed up the music a bit from last time but it seems as though people are really enjoying it and ‘getting it’ per se.

Is this your first time here at the festival?

We’ve played here about three years ago on the New Blood stage which was about the sixth gig we ever played as a band. To come back three years later and play to a packed Sophie tent was a huge honour and hopefully we’ll continue going onward and upwards. Maybe in two years time we’ll be playing on the main stage. Who knows!

If you had pick the lineup for the festival who would you pick?

Job for a Cowboy obviously as we think they’re of the right size and should come and play. A bit of black metal in there with Dark Funeral, Rotten Sound and maybe also Code Orange. Keep it varied obviously.

Kraken, Hobgoblin or Jäger?

Erm, tapwater actually. Kraken is lovely, but we’re a sober band now. Pepsi Max with cherry maybe as well.

What bands are you guys most looking forward to seeing?

Ghost and Municipal Waste but we’re missing them. We are looking forward to seeing Ghost though later on. We were playing the Whitechapel show unfortunately so we couldn’t see some of the bands.

How was that show by the way?

It was excellent. Completely sold out which was great. We were meant to open the show with another band before Whitechapel came on. The middle band had to drop out though so we ended up playing to a completely sold out and sweaty Underworld. To come from that show onto Bloodstock has been awesome.

Describe the band in three words.

“We’re fucking awesome”, “hard hard work” and “bloody lovely gentlemen”.
