Bloodstock 2017 Interview: Johnny Malice of Titan Breed

(Transcription by James)

Just after their performance on the New Blood stage on the Saturday at Bloodstock, we had a quick chat with local boys and Glasgow M2TM winners Titan Breed about their performance. Read on for the full transcription…

Is this your first time at Bloodstock?

I’ve been here quite a times but this is my first time playing. Hopefully not our last time playing! This is my festival of choice and it’s an absolute fucking honour to play here to be honest. It’s nice to have an artist wristband and be able to get in here for the first time. We got pished out our faces on the Thursday and spent yesterday recovering and making sure we were in tip top condition for today.

What bands are you looking forward to seeing?

I wanted to see Havok but unfortunately we were playing at the same time as them! However, we did have a great crowd and got a couple of mosh-pits going which was awesome. Some of our guys managed to catch a couple of other bands though which was good.

What do you reckon has caused Bloodstock to sell out this year?

I think it’s because it’s smaller than that kinda makes it more special. It’s kinda like a family to be honest and everyone has been so welcoming. All the crew we’ve dealt with as well this weekend have been so professional and nice as well.

What bands would you pick to headline next year?

Manowar headlining with us playing just before them! Van Canto as well would be very good.

What have you guys got planned for the next few months?

We’re headlining the Garage in a few weeks time and hopefully continue playing gigs across the country. We’re hopefully going to be doing an album at some point as well so that’ll give us more material for us to make a set list from. We’ve been making a load of new friends and s this weekend so hopefully you’ll be seeing a lot more of us up and down the country over the next few months too.
