As ever, we’re going to try and cover every single Jäger, New Blood and SOPHIE stage band before Bloodstock kicks off on August 10th. Your chance to check them out and start planning which bands to get there early for!
Trust us when we tell you that this is bound to result in some frustrating clashes because, as ever, there are some great bands on these three stages.

Simple things first – where are you guys from?
We’re from hotter-than-hell Italy!
How long have you been playing together as a band?
Eighteen years, the first album was released in 1999 and we’re constantly delivering tons of metal to the world, making records and touring the world! No rest! This current line-up has been together since 2013.
Where does the name of the band come from?
Arthemis comes from Artemis, goddess of the moon and hunting; loyal and brave!
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
The iron will and the fact that our music is true to ourselves and to the fans! The energy we put into our music is something explosive and you can feel it and touch it! Solid!
What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?
Our live show is fiery, loud and has that old-school vibe that makes the crowd in first place… they become part of the show!
Have you played Bloodstock before? If so, when?
Yeah; we played in 2009 and 2011 on the Sophie Stage then in 2014 on the Ronnie James Dio stage and it was unbelievable! And here we are; back to the Bloodstock battlefield! Wow!
How/when did you find out that you’d be playing the SOPHIE stage?
Three months ago and you know, for us, it’s a true honor! A call to arms!
What sort of setlist can we expect?
For sure, no ballads but heavy riffs and some cool surprises!
Which main stage band do you most hope you’re not clashing with so you can see them play?
I don’t know as all the bands are great and they all deserve a great crowd so we will do our best as always and can’t wait to see so many crazy metalheads! Feeling pumped!
What are you working on at the moment?
We’re focusing on the live shows as our new album Blood-Fury-Domination has been released few months ago via Scarlet Records and we’re promoting the new songs as much as we can!
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done on tour?
We could write a book about this, maybe two! Life on the road is always full of crazy surprises and when you think you’ve seen it all; there comes the madness.
Jäger, Hobgoblin Ale, Kraken, Kingstone Press Cider, Kaltenberg Beer or Bulleit Bourbon? And, yes, we’ll be counting all the votes!
Abso-fuckin’-lutely! Ready to roll…see ya at Bloodstock, metalheads! We will smash the Sophie stage on Sunday 13th, late afternoon! Hell yeah!
