With Wacken XXX looming up to stomp its big metal footprint on again this summer, we’re taking a look at a bunch of the bands who are hitting its iconic stages for the first time. If you fancy something fast then you should be checking out Gama Bomb when you’re there…

Simple things first – where are you guys from?

Ireland.

Before you get sick of being asked… where does the band name come from?

The Incredible Hulk (1966 animated series).

Describe your music. Who are your musical influences?

Speed thrash crossover horror party nazi stomping music influenced by Sodom, Terminator, Nuclear Assault, Batman, 1980s games, Raven, George Romero.

Do you have any particular lyrical themes?

Nazi bashing, party lifestyle, war, cannibalism , day to day life.

What’s your live show like? How many shows have you played?

Fast and shouty, covered in beer and vomit. We’ve played around 500 shows.

What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?

Played on the high seas in a storm, saw the inside of someone’s head, fought the audience, stole beer and got an early night.

What, if anything, are you plugging/promoting at the moment?

New album Speed Between the Lines released October 2018 via AFM.

Other than Wacken, what are your plans for 2019?

Fight sea monsters , play in Japan, invent new words to describe smelly, get married and play some shows.

What are you most looking forward to at Wacken this year?

The rock music concert.
