This was completely out of the ordinary for me and I am not ashamed to it that I was shitting a brick moments before the interview. I was about to interview a multi-instrumentalist that’s regarded as one of the forefathers of the thrash scene in his homeland of Australia as well as a comedian who has gigged around the world numerous times and has a number of DVDs to prove it.
The person I interviewed was most calming from the start and not a hint of an ego anywhere and it resulted in a most pleasurable two-hour conversation mainly about his debut solo album (not an EP, Chris!!!) Alone but for the Breath of Beasts.
We also chatted about his comedy, of course, and life in general in a year most people want to forget. This was a huge honour for me and I look forward to seeing him in the live front when he’s next in Glasgow. Listen to his new album and laugh about his stories.
Cheers, Steve, and this will not be the last time we talk.
