0161 Manchester Underground Metal Community started off on a Saturday night with James and Jayne Bennett and a few friends at the pub talking about the underground scene in Manchester coming together and building a simple Facebook page on Boxing Day 2018.
Fast forward to the present day and James and Jayne find themselves promoting bands, putting on gigs in the Manchester area and beyond amongst a whole host of other aspects of the music industry from their community page. A simple idea has transformed their lives and they are doing it for the underground metal scene.

Throughout this interview, the underground was mentioned on numerous occasions, showcasing that they are not in this for the money but to give bands a chance. Bands who are just starting out, that have never had a chance of playing live, or that simply have a handful of Facebook likes, are given a chance by these two human beings who take enormous pride in what they do and what they have achieved.
