If anyone was interested in death metal today and asked me for three bands that I would recommend, they would be Crypts of Despair from Lithuania, Lik from Sweden and Brazilian band Escarnium. So imagine how I felt communicating with Escarnium guitarist/vocalist Victor for some time and finally being able to nail down a time for an interview.
As I stated in this interview, their latest offering “Through the Depths of the 12th Gate” is the song that I have played most over on Moshville Radio this year. If you like your death metal, then this track is simply in my top 3 for 2022. It was truly an honour to speak to Victor for the length of time that we did (even if it finished at 2am) about all things Escarnium. I was delighted to hear that they have a new EP coming out in September and I for one will certainly be buying it.
