It’s that time of year where we set out to interview as many of the Sophie, New Blood, and Jager bands as we can in the lead-up to one of the most anticipated festivals of the year, Bloodstock. Answering our questions here are Inhuman Nature who play the Sophie Stage on the Friday lunchtime.
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
Hastings, London and Luton…the most hellish and evil places in the UK!
How long have you been playing together as a band?
Our current line-up has been together since the tail end of 2019 but the band put out its first demo back in 2017.
Where does the name of the band come from?
It’s a Final Conflict song title, a lot of people might be more familiar with the Sepultura version though.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
We take influence from different spectra of the metal universe, which I think works in our favour. I think there’s a little something for everyone in there, with regard to metal fans at least. Can thrash metal ever be truly unique again…who knows!
What’s your live show like?
Why are people going to watch you instead of another band? Its total war and only the strong will survive!

Have you played Bloodstock before? If so, when?
This is our first time!
How/when did you find out that you’d be playing the SOPHIE stage?
We got the offer back in Feb, can’t believe how quick its come around! Very stoked to be playing!
What sort of setlist can we expect?
Only songs that inspire furious head banging, sword wielding and moshing!
Which other band do you most hope you’re not clashing with so you can see them play?
Hopefully we don’t miss Sorcerer play!
What are you working on at the moment?
Album two is well in the works! We’re putting everything into that!
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
Our bassist stage dived with a real sword once, I guess that was pretty wild!
What drink do you throw back to get yourself fired up before going on stage?
I’m normally good to good after a couple of beers but we are playing pretty early at Bloodstock, so maybe it’ll be a couple of coffees for this one!
