Our regular run-down of as many of the Bloodstock bands as we can get to talk to us! Devils Henchmen play the New Blood stage on the Friday…
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
Liverpool! All of us are from the area and have lived here all our lives.
How long have you been playing together as a band?
Joe (lead vocals/guitar) and Danny (drums) started the band in 2015, our current lineup has been together since late 2021.
Where does the name of the band come from?
Honestly, when the band was formed, the lads just came up with it because they thought it sounded dead cool.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
Our current material is very thrashy but with a fair bit of old-school hardcore influence. We’re fast and intense, especially live.
What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?
Expect energy! We give every set everything we’ve got. If people are giving us their time by watching us, we make absolutely sure we entertain them and get them involved. We love getting pits going and helping people have a good time while we play them our riffs.
Have you been to Bloodstock before? What did you think?
Only one of us has and I’m afraid he’s not the one writing these answers! But from what he’s told us, it sounds like a really good time. Likeminded people, beer, and sick bands, what’s not to like?
Which M2tM region did you win, or did you come through other channels?
We won in our home region of Merseyside, which meant a great deal to us.
Can you put into 10 words or fewer how it felt when you realised you were heading to Bloodstock?
Adrenaline, sheer joy, and pride in ourselves.

What sort of setlist can we expect?
All original material, some all-out, fast-paced thrash, some punky tunes and a load in between. In one word: fast.
Which other bands do you most hope you’re not squished up next to so you can see them play?
Well, we play the Friday, so thankfully we will be able to watch bands such as Triptykon, Knocked Loose and Crowbar on Saturday for instance, but in of Friday, we’re really hoping we can catch Pest Control and Gatecreeper especially.
What are you working on at the moment?
An album, actually! Two of the lads are sound engineers so we’ve done it all DIY so far. We’re in the mixing phase at the moment and it’s sounding massive. Release date TBA, but it will be this year.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
At the final for our MT2M, we managed to split the entire venue into a wall of death. That was pretty intense!
What drink do you throw back to get yourself fired up before going on stage?
Personally, a nice cold lager before the set gets me in the zone.
