The Soothsayer hails from the South of Ireland.
How long have you been playing together as a band?
The Soothsayer has been in existence for almost ten years.
Where does the name of the band come from?
The Soothsayer.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
The Soothsayer adheres to no set form. It drags throughout the doomy dregs and soars high above across a blackened sky. It connects to a fabric that is unseen but felt. If you feel it too then you shall see The Soothsayer.
What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?
If you seek something with genuine emotional weight and spiritual substance then you are invited to participate in the ritual of The Soothsayer with us. You shall experience something authentic and pure. You may even observe the light amongst the darkness.
Have you been to Bloodstock before? What did you think?
The Soothsayer has not yet been to Bloodstock and is looking forward to manifesting the chaos vortex upon this gathering.

What sort of setlist can we expect?
You can expect to experience The Soothsayer in it’s true form. Ethereal black metal and visceral doom combined with otherworldly characteristics shall unfold before you. Each of your senses shall be activated and you shall feel the entity.

Abbath, Celtic Frost, Tribulation, Helloween, … many more.
What are you working on at the moment?
The Soothsayer is currently working on the follow up to “Echoes of the Earth”.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
Broke through to the other side, bringing others with us.
What drink do you throw back to get yourself fired up before going on stage?
We enjoy consuming small amounts of each other’s blood before performing. We Are The Soothsayer.
