Our regular run-down of as many of the Bloodstock bands as we can get to talk to us! Public Execution play the EMP stage on the Saturday…
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
Didcot / Reading / Devises.
How long have you been playing together as a band?
We formed just before lockdown in 2020.
Where does the name of the band come from?
Originally South American Drug Cartel Public Dismemberment but I’m sure it could also be aimed at what we would like to happen to certain figures who have lined their pockets rather than helping those who need it.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
Mix of grindcore and hardcore. For fans of Napalm Death, Pig Destroyer, Magrudergrind, Wormrot etc. Give our release Mullered a blast as we play all of it! On the unique side, come to the EMP at 2:30 on the Sat and find out !
What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?
Full on intense bs really, we don’t take ourselves seriously. Probably a lot of bad in-jokes, a lot of attempts at merch sales mid-set, usually upsetting Iron Maiden fans somewhere in there, a lot of song titles to try and make people laugh, the look of shock if we get our songs right, but otherwise very fast intense blasts.

Have you been to Bloodstock before? What did you think?
Yeah quite a few times between us, always a good time, some great hazy memories from Midgard!
When/how did you find out you’d been selected to play at Bloodstock?
We sent an email and got lucky with a return offer for the EMP – this was around March 2024.
What sort of setlist can we expect?
25 tracks of total bollocks.
Stage times haven’t been announced yet, so which other band do you most hope you’re not clashing with so you can see them play?
I think looking at Clashfinder it’s Mimi Barks we clash with, but to answer if we didn’t know … would like to catch local lads to us Sylosis!
What are you working on at the moment?
Release number 2 for us; another 20 minutes of total bollocks called “Still Skint”, which perfectly sums up our music career.
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
At Reading Festival 2002 – vocalist of Dillinger Escape Plan shitting on stage and throwing it into the crowd. On the “done” side, a lot of madness in previous bands – happy to share stories in person…
What drink do you throw back to get yourself fired up before going on stage?
In our old bands it would’ve been a whole lot different , but nowadays a cuppa, energy drink, or a pint!
