Our regular run-down of as many of the Bloodstock bands as we can get to talk to us! Convey play the New Blood stage on the Saturday…
Simple things first – where are you guys from?
We’re from Worcestershire!
How long have you been playing together as a band?
We’ve been going since about April last year, born from an old bedroom project. Our first gigs were actually the Metal To The Masses heat and final in Cheltenham.
Where does the name of the band come from?
It sort of just came out of nowhere, we had a shortlist of 4 or 5 and just went for the one that stuck with us. Nice and simple, nothing too deep and meaningful.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
We try to blend as many of our collective influences as we can. The nu-metal and hardcore elements are always at the forefront, but we also like to experiment with grungy melodic vocals, death metal rhythms and hip hop flows.
What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?
It’s 30 minutes of pure energy. We always bring an intensity to our shows that infects the crowd and leaves everyone feeling like they’ve had a full body workout, including us.

Have you been to Bloodstock before? What did you think?
This will be our first time but we’ve heard many great things and can’t wait to get there and experience it first hand.
Which M2tM region did you win, or did you come through other channels?
We won in Cheltenham at the Frog & Fiddle. That place has basically been a second home to us for the last year, it’s an ace venue.
Can you put into 10 words or fewer how it felt when you realised you were heading to Bloodstock?
Cathartic, overwhelming, nerve-wracking, validating, emotional, pumped, focused, determined, relieved.
What sort of setlist can we expect?
It’s gonna be aggressive. We like to bring a wall of sound vibe that’s gonna be unrelenting and unforgettable for everyone there, you don’t want to miss it.
Stage times haven’t been announced yet, so which other band do you most hope you’re not clashing with so you can see them play?
I think we’re all going to be scattered across the festival across the weekend but I know that Sylosis and Malevolence are high up the list for all of us.
What are you working on at the moment?
We’re currently recording our next single, we hope to release it in the next couple of months. It may or may not feature in our set if you want to get a sneak peek…
What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
There was a show we played earlier this year where we split the crowd for a wall of death and when it dropped, there was a table caught in the crossfire and it didn’t survive. That pit was insane!
What drink do you throw back to get yourself fired up before going on stage?
Jack is a big swig of tequila and then run on stage with water, Rob saves himself for after the show and Alex and Ollie are usually found with energy drinks and water, fuelling up and getting ready for carnage.
