Simple things first – where are you guys from?
Southampton, on the South coast!
How long have you been playing together as a band?
About a year now.
Where does the name of the band come from?
We rebranded from a different band, and deleted all our music and completely changed our lineup, we wanted to move away from what we started with and into something more professional and polished, the name represents our journey together. The name came to us kind of on its own and we later realised how well it fits our journey.
Describe your music. What makes you unique?
Honestly, I don’t think we try too much to be different. We write what comes to us and sometimes that is a generic modern metalcore song and sometimes it’s really different and experimental. We try not to bend over backwards to be different, nor to fit any certain set of rules that a genre might have. Some of our currently unreleased songs are really different compared to the We All Wear Our Curses EP.

What’s your live show like? Why are people going to watch you instead of another band?
We are still working out the answer to that question. We’re still trying new things and failing/succeeding every gig we do. We’re really proud of our music and our energy and we really hope we can contribute well to the lineup of the festival.
When/how did you find out you’d been selected to play at Bloodstock?
We found out from an email from the promoter a few months back, honestly it still hasn’t sunk in for any of us and we doubt it will until after our set.
What sort of setlist can we expect?
We’ve got a 30 minute set consisting of both released and unreleased stuff. We’ve really tried to concentrate our heaviest and most energetic songs here and contrast that with more emotional and thoughtful songs.
Which other band do you most hope you’re not clashing with so you can see them play?
We’re all huge Architects fans, so hopefully we’ll get off stage and sorted before their set starts.
What are you working on at the moment?
At the moment we’re slowly working on our debut album. We’ve got most of the guitars tracked so far so not long to go!

What’s the wildest thing you’ve seen or done at a live show?
Ethan: At Bloodstock 2022 I saw Lamb Of God and ended up at the barrier when everyone pushed forward at the end. I ended up with a fractured rib!
What drink do you throw back to get yourself fired up before going on stage?
A few double vodka Red Bulls is enough to get our bassist playing so hard he snaps his bottom string in about 3 songs (we use Drop E).
