Friday Video Roundup: Short Stories, Core of iO, Sumo Cyco, Don Broco

Dunno about you, but when that clock marks the end of the day I’m heading for the nearest pub. That has a decent juke box.

Short Stories – “Stories of London”

Short Stories (of London) are doubling up on good news, having just released their new Valhalla EP and also the first single “Stories Of London” with an accompanying video. The Valhalla EP, aptly named after the Cambridge based studio they recorded at, is a direct, punchy four track introduction to the massive bags of character being served up by the band.

You can buy/stream the EP and single at all the usual locations such as:  Spotify, Google Play, [amazon text=Amazon&asin=B01N7QM4LB] and iTunes.

Core of iO – “Surrounded”

Already highly praised for their hugely impressive tech metal sound, Core Of iO delve deeper with their breath-taking new video single “Surrounded”, which is lifted from the band’s forthcoming EP Part III: Ganymede, out this February.

Sumo Cyco (ft. Benji Webbe) – “Move Mountains”

Canadian punk-metallers Sumo Cyco have released a video for their brand new track “Move Mountains” featuring Skindred’s Benji Webbe. The song is taken from the band’s sophomore album Opus Mar, which is set for release on 31st March 2017. Frontwoman Skye ‘Sever’ Sweetnam says:

As a band that formed after being inspired by ‘Babylon’ by Skindred, it’s absolutely surreal to have collaborated on a song with Benji Webbe. Back in 2015, our UK tour ended in Wales. I knew we were going to be close to Benji’s hometown of Newport, so I asked if he’d be down with us coming to film a music video for “Move Mountains”. Not only did Benji invite us to film at Dub War’s rehearsal space, but he took us out for drinks to the local pubs and we had the best night. This is how we experienced meeting one of my all time favourite vocalists – INSANE!!

Don Broco – “Everybody”

Don Broco have unveiled a live video for their recent single “Everybody”, capturing highlights from their recent UK arena tour with Bring Me The Horizon.

The rock-fuelled anthem was released in 2016 to celebrate their g with US label SharpTone Records, and is the first taste of new music since the release of Don Broco’s Top 10 album Automatic in 2015. Since then the band have headlined Brixton Academy and played arenas throughout the UK and Europe with both Bring Me The Horizon and 5 Seconds Of Summer.
