5 Glorious Days Of Adele In Europe
Adele is not just a soul singer; her genres include Jazz and pop. Her commitment to improving herself has ensured that she remains relevant in the music industry while maintaining dominance in all genres. This has given her the privilege to host sold-out events, just like we witnessed in Munich. Without further ado, here are the 5 glorious days of Adele in Europe.
2nd August – 2024
The 5 glorious days of Adele in Europe began from the first day that the “Adele In Munich” show started. Because Adele had headlined a couple of tours that have stretched to Europe in previous years, attendees of this residency had an expectation they wanted to be met with this event. Even though their expectations were later met with a better result, they weren’t wrong to anticipate a great evening with Adele.
First concerts are usually where we discover certain details about what the rest of the concerts will be like, it wasn’t different with the 2nd of August – 2024, the day that Adele kickstarted the “Adele in Munich” show. The first thing that was discovered that skyrocketed fans’ morale was that the setlist contained 22 songs, with Adele’s 4th career album, “30” being the album associated with the tour.
Upon that discovery, fans who had listened to the complete album knew instantly that they were in for it. Others had to discover why some had an early sign of excitement that was better than theirs from the performance of the first song. In all, the first night in Munich was amazing.
Adele dished out performances in a way she had never before. As she grows older in the industry, her capabilities continue to grow beyond expectations. The night of 2nd August immediately became a clear sign that August would be a great month, thanks to Adele. And so, it did.
9th August – 2024
The 2nd day of Adele’s concert in Munich maintained the same energy as the first day, so it was all great and entertaining. On the 3rd day, however, the 9th of August, Adele’s opening acts made the concert one of the most glorious days of her time in Europe.
Before the commencement of the tour, Adele had announced that she’d be touring with 4 opening acts. At first, the reaction from fans was like, it doesn’t make any difference, we’ll be going there to meet Adele, and no one else.
But then, on the 9th of August, when DJ Mad anchored the crowd, it was a different feeling entirely. You know that Adele sings soul-reaching songs, so she has to make sure she brings along people who can maintain the same flow before she comes on stage.
Florian Zimmer also took his time to take the crowd through a magical journey they’ll never forget, in collaboration with Spice Girls, and Experience. Munich saw a better use of opening acts, and they couldn’t be happier. The excitement lay in the fact that they’ll be back the next day to experience it all over again, and even better.
14th August – 2024
While we continue to celebrate Adele’s songwriting skills, we need also to commend her ability to connect intimately with her fans during her live renditions of songs that she has written. We saw the true effect of this during her 14th of August concert where some fans were sent into an emotional state when she began the performance of “Hello.”
The crazy thing was that “Hello” was the song she always started her performances with in Munich, but something seemed to be different when she performed it on the 14th of August. It’s either the fans attending the concert that day were different or Adele added a lil bit of magic with her performance that night.
People react to the song “Hello” in different ways, but it hurts more when you have a loved one you used to be close to, but aren’t anymore. Most fans have probably attended Adele’s concerts in the past with a person that they’re no longer on good with. The song “Hello” serves, at that moment, as a bridge that tries to connect the two souls.
So, when Adele sings and gets to the part where she says, “To tell you I’m sorry,” it creates a gush of emotions that comes with a flash of memories that can send some jerricans of tears rolling from your eyes. Although sad, it was glorious to see Adele have such an effect on the lives of her fans.
23 August – 2024
On the 23rd of August, Adele held one of the greatest shows of the “Adele In Munich” residency. She wore a sparkly black gown that connected to the song she rendered when she took the stage, “Hello.” When the concert began, and it was time for Adele to take the stage, as soon as the music started, and everyone was looking at the stage from whence they had expected her to come, they were all shocked when they noticed smoke rising far from the stage.
Lo and behold, Adele appeared from underneath the stadium, singing in her black and golden dress. That alone was the highlight of the evening, with over 10k people screaming to her guts. Adele kept a straight face as she performed, but not for long as she was soon overwhelmed with the cheers of her fans that she eventually smiled, even though not for long as “Hello” is best known as a song that carries some sort of sadness with it.
31st August – 2024
This was Adele’s last show in Munich, and it was a painful experience. At this time, the people of Munich had successfully been entertained by Adele for 10 nights, but the 31st made them realize they needed more. Adele felt how much she’d be missed, so she did a lil bit of extra on that night.
Everything she did that night showed her appreciation for the she received from her fans throughout the shows she had organized in Munich, and also how much she loved them. From the clips posted online of the night, Adele kept a smiley face through most of the show.
For some fans, the 31st of August would be the last time they meet Adele live, while some had already booked tickets to her ongoing residency in the US. Regardless, it was an emotional night that we’ll never forget, and will forever stand as one of Adele’s glorious days in Europe.
