Catching up on old emails (sorry, people!) and I came across this little gem. Midlands-based punk/post-hardcore bunch The Hiding Place’s new EP So This Is Home is out on September 1st and the lead single – “Guts” – can be streamed below.
It’s actually a bit different from a lot of the “post-whatever” bands I’ve heard, being a bit more upbeat and not all shouty vocals. It makes for something a bit more accessible – I guess they could be a bit of a bridge between the punk/rock side and full-on post-hardcore.
Either way, it’s only a minute or two of your time to check out the song, and it’s well worth it.
