Oh, bloody hell. 2016 is off to a crap start for the world of music as the incredibly unique and influential talent that is (and always will be) David Bowie s Lemmy at the bar on the other side.
Continuing to release new music until as recently as last Friday (the newly-released Blackstar), Bowie’s influence over the 70’s and 80’s in particular was huge. Always that little bit wonderfully “odd”, he pushed boundaries during those years that some people didn’t realise were even there.
He died yesterday (Sunday) in New York, following an 18-month battle against bowel cancer.
RIP Ziggy Stardust.
