AncarA
Finnish alternative hard rock band AncarA will release their fourth studio album Garden Of Chains via Concorde Music Company internationally on March 3rd 2017.
On November 2015 AncarA played the highest (unofficially) ever electric rock show on Mount Everest at 4600 metres. There was also a documentary created called Rockin High of that trip which has gathered lots of praise and has been shown at film festivals, movie theatres and on Finnish national television.
AncarA will celebrate the release of the album with a release show at the rock club Tavastia, Helsinki.
Darkest Hour
Darkest Hour, who recently announced the March 10 release of their ninth album, Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora (via Southern Lord Recordings), share a second song from the 12-track album, streaming “Timeless Numbers”. Explains Darkest Hour guitar player Mike Schleibaum:
This song, like “Knife in the Safe Room”, has a dual meaning. The first is the continuation of the story line that permeates the album. In this track we see our main character struggle with the inherent history of the culture he/she was brought up in and the realisation that it was always in our nature to divide and consume ourselves. In simpler , it is a reflection on the drain of modern life and the subsequent division/internal destruction that this life seems to always lead humanity towards.
As we travel the world, we have seen that no matter where you are, humans divide themselves. We interact with immigration policies, borders and barriers that are cultural, economic, and political everyday that we are on tour. While travelling the world we have done our best to spread a message of anti-nationalism, unilateral respect for humans of all forms, and lastly the basic idea that music/art is more powerful and more eternal than religion, nation states, or even technology!

Aborym
Italy’s industrial/electronic metal legends Aborym are streaming a new song, “Slipping Through The Cracks”, taken from their album Shifting.Negative (in stores January 25th via Agona Records). Alongside the new track, the band have revealed a video documentary on making the new album’s cover artwork by Davide Cragne.
Shifting.Negative was mixed and mastered by Grammy-award winning Marc Urselli at Eastside Sound Studios (Lou Reed, John Zorn, Mike Patton) in New York, who commented on the album:
I’ve known Fabban and Aborym for over 20 years so it’s nice that we finally get to work together on an Aborym record and this is the most forward thinking of all the Aborym records for sure! It’s definitely a break from the past and a step forward into the future of a band that has never stood still and never wanted to sound like everything else that’s out there. They continue to evolve with every record! This is a great sounding album that blends all of their metal and industrial influences and represents a new milestone in the history of such a well respected and established group. I’m excited to be a part of it.
Gory Blister
After the great audience reaction and sales achieved by The Fifth Fury (the band’s fifth album) released in 2014 via Sliptrick Records, Gory Blister have begun to work on the new album, scheduled to be released by the end of 2017.
The sound of this new album, as yet untitled, will be deeply rooted in the main influences of the band. Although drawing inspiration from bands such as Death, Carcass, Kreator and Cannibal Corpse, Gory Blister are also evolving, focusing on melodies and atmospheres from the most modern metal sounds without distorting the band’s own unique style and personality.
Recently, bass player Fabiano Andreacchio has ed Gory Blister to complete the line-up.
