There have been a few date changes and so forth recently regarding Raging Speedhorn, and the band have intimated that all of these hiccups are due to the health of co-singer Frank Regan. The following statement was issued by Raging Speedhorn, and we would like to emphasise the band’s request that no questions should be asked about Frank’s condition. They stated in a previous release that any such questions would be ignored. Please respect their right to some privacy.

Obviously everyone here wishes Frank and the band the best, and we appreciate them doing what they can to fulfil existing commitments with the aid of a stand-in.
Corby metallers Raging Speedhorn have announced that co-vocalist Frank Regan will not be ing them on their UK run with Skindred or their appearance at HRH Metal, as he has been ordered by doctors to rest. Regan’s spot will be filled by RSJ vocalist Dan Cook. Sadly, the two March shows at The Black Heart are to be moved to later in the year.
Guitarist Jim Palmer had this to say on the announcement:
Unfortunately, due to doctors ordering immediate rest, our brother Frank Regan won’t be with us on our stint with Skindred and the HRH Metal Fest. We will have a stand in to help us out for these shows, but after those dates we will be ceasing all live performances until Frank gets the go ahead from the doctors to return.
We don’t want to go into details, we don’t want to go public with anymore information than this. Please respect our privacy in this matter. We feel that continuing any further than these shows without Frank is not an option. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes and hope you understand.
The band, who cancelled a handful of dates at the end of 2016, have stressed that they are not splitting up, nor is Regan leaving Raging Speedhorn, and that once he is 100% physically fit and cleared by doctors he will be reing the band. The band and Regan have asked for privacy in the matter.
UPDATE
The band responded to a question regarding rescheduled dates this morning:
It’s confirmed that we are in the process of trying to work out rescheduling the Black Heart dates. It’s not confirmed when yet as we don’t know when Frank will be well enough again. As soon as we have news on that we will let everyone know. In the meantime, just so you know, any money paid out for tickets is being held by the ticket allocation company not us so if a refund is required you need to speak to the company you bought tickets from. As I said though, the plan at the moment is to reschedule the dates not cancel them.
Raging Speedhorn will appear on the following dates with Skindred:
- Jan 31st – Brighton – Concorde 2
- Feb 2nd – Derby – The Venue
- Feb 3rd – Edinburgh – Liquid Room
- Feb 4th – Inverness – Ironworks
- Feb 5th – Carlisle – Brickyard
- Feb 6th – Stoke – Underground (headline show)
- Feb 7th – Liverpool – O2 Academy
- Feb 8th – York – Fibbers
- Feb 9th – Holmfirth – Picturedrome
The band’s latest record, Lost Ritual, was released on July 15th 2016, and received glowing praise from critics and fans.
