News is just filtering out of another untimely ing, this time the bassist from American Head Charge, Chad Hanks.

Hanks was diagnosed with a terminal illness towards the end of last month with a benefit gig to cover his final expenses scheduled for the 26th of this month at First Avenue in Minneapolis. Sadly, this event will be more of a memorial for a great talent and great guy as it seems that he ed away earlier today.
Posts from fellow band member Cameron Heacock (a heart-wrenching image of him at Hanks’ bedside) and Total Rock presenter Hayley Leggs are the only confirmation we have at present. Heacock’s wordless post is poignant enough. Leggs stated:
He was a very sweet and talented man who will be greatly missed. We had the pleasure of sharing the stage with American Head Charge at the Whiskey a Go Go a few years ago, something I’ll never forget. He treated us so well and remained a friend since.
The School of Rock in Eden Prairie, Minnesota posted the following:
Chad Hanks, a dear man, wonderful person and former teacher ed away this morning after a health battle he’s been fighting. He touched the lives of more people than anyone could imagine. He was a kind and patient teacher, an incredible musician and he cared deeply about everyone in the School of Rock family. Though I am tremendously sad that the world has lost such a great person I am also happy that he is no longer suffering.
As soon as we have an official statement, this article will be updated.
American Head Charge are an in-house favourite here at Moshville Times and rest assured we’ll be cranking some of their tunes – with the bass way up – in Chad’s honour.
