Homerik
American symphonic black metal band Homerik have released their self-titled debut album. This album was recorded in various studios and locations: Big Yellow Duck, Dojo Taiko Masala, Real Brave Audio, The Riverside Church of New York City, Spin Recording Studios, as well as home recording studios.
Tartarum
Cyprus symphonic/melodic death metal band Tartarum have released their new album Tales of Ancient Times. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Alexis Yiangoullis at his home studio.
Tartarum was formed in April 2014 under the name Khrysaor on the island of Cyprus by Alexis Yiangoulis and Thirsos Makloklas. Later in 2015 the band released their debut album named Chaos. In 2017 the recordings of the new album was finished and the guys decided to rename the band to Tartarum for a fresh start with new band .
Black Strike
About two years after the official release of their debut EP released in 2015, tons of gigs and a few months of hard-work on new tunes, Belgian alternative/stoner metallers Black Strike are planning to release a second mini-album called 132, expected for release in the first months of 2018.
In the meantime, the band just shared its first self-titled effort for full streaming on Bandcamp.
Dead Soul Communion
UK-based Dead Soul Communion has unleashed the cover art for their second album MMXVIII which is due for release in Summer 2018. The new album is said to have taken a heavier approach, with 10 new songs written mainly by founder Daniel J Finch. Recording is due to start in January 2018.
The cover was designed and drawn by Drake Mefestta having done the cover art for the first DSC album. Finch met Drake when he did the cover for his previous band Devilment. Drake has done a number of covers and art including 69 Eyes, Symphony X, Devilment and Cradle of Filth
The band released their critically acclaimed debut album in July 2017, gaining a lot of attention from the metal community. You can buy the album now direct from the band from their website or it from iTunes, Google Play and Amazon. Stream it from Apple Music and Spotify.
The band are also lining up a number of festival appearance in 2018 including Norwich’s Powerfest on June 30th, Lowestoft Rocks in July.
