This one comes as a huge and sudden blow. Word has reached us that Nathan Gunn, bassist with Estrella, has ed away. Update: Nathan’s car was involved in a collision with a bus. He was only thirty years old.
One of our crew, Richard Harris-Abbot, had the pleasure of working with Nathan on the band’s 2015 tour with Enuff Z’Nuff, describing him as “my friend and co-prankster”. Nathan had only recently found out that he was to be a father for the first time, so as you can all understand this is an incredible difficult time for the Estrella family.
With Richard’s permission, here’s a video he has of Nathan rocking out with the band on that 2015 tour. Throwing out those bass notes which can be heard so clearly on Estrella’s work was what he did best.
Our thoughts go out to Nathan’s family, friends and bandmates.
