News has just reached us through Forbidden’s facebook page of the ing of their former guitarist Tim Calvert. Tim was 52 years of age. The message reads as follows:
Beyond sorrow. We just found out Tim Calvert has ed. Some have known he was battling an aggressive form of ALS for a while now. It was all very private as per his wishes.
The greatest songwriter, musician and guitarist I have ever had the pleasure or creating music with has left the building. Tim’s genius will live on forever in the 3 Forbidden records he helped create with us.
Rest in Peace, Tim.

Beyond sorrow. We just found out Tim Calvert has ed. Some have known he was battling an aggressive form of ALS for a while now. It was all very private as per his wishes.ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), also known as motor neurone disease (MND), and Lou Gehrig’s disease. It causes the death of neurons controlling voluntary muscles, with fairly predictably results.
Calvert wrote material for and appeared on Twisted Into Form, Distortion and Green. When the band folded, he was invited to Nevermore as a second guitarist. He remained with them until 1999 then he left the full time world of music to become a pilot.
We wish his friends and family well in this difficult time and leave you with one of his many great tracks to him by.
