Album News: Eugenic Death / OHNOVA / Nebula / Rattlesnake

More new music for you to save up your pocket money for, kids…

Eugenic Death

North Carolina’s Eugenic Death are set to release Under the Knife, a seven-track offering of pure, old-school thrash. The album marks the return of original vocalist, Keith Davis, who res founding member Jonathan McCanless (guitar/bass) and new drummer Geoff Lapenta for the band’s first new release since 2012’s Crimes Against Humanity.

Heaven and Hell Records will release Under the Knife on March 15. Stream and pre-order the album on bandcamp.

OHNOVA

From within Glasgow’s vibrant music scene emerges OHNOVA, with their powerful slice of alt-rock, with big riffs and even bigger melodies. OHNOVA are proud to announce that their brand new EP called I Can’t Sleep will be released on 24th May, with a new single “Banjo Mac”, taken from the EP, hitting the streets on the 29th March.

Having formed in 2017, OHNOVA are a relatively new band and with the release of their previous single (also from the new EP) “Heavy Smile” they have received only positive attention. The OHNOVA ethos is not just to produce a great track but also to be entertaining, something which can be seen in their willingness to inject a visual humour in their videos to juxtapose the serious tone of the lyrics.

OHNOVA have already released one track from the I Can’t Sleep EP, called Heavy Smile. Experience OHNOVA in the video below.

Nebula

Desert rock titans, pioneering Nebula have announced that they are extending their record deal with cult & fuzz rock label Heavy Psych Sounds, who will proudly release the band’s brand new album this June.

It will be Nebula’s first album in 13 long years. The new band line-up is currently working in the studio with producer Matt Lynch, to record their brand new album with a release in June of 2019.
While the rising powerhouse label released a Demos & Outtakes album as well as a reissue of the pathbreaking Charged album earlier this year, Heavy Psych Sounds are more than proud to release a freshly baked album by the legends Nebula this summer. And what a hot summer it will be, as we can also expect the band to extensively tour, alongside the just announced Heavy Psych Sounds Festival tour with two Nebula live dates in California this spring.

Rattlesnake

It’s the story of a “comeback”. After being active in the 90’s, Swiss hard-rockers from Geneva Rattlesnake relaunched their band a few years ago in the same hard rock / kick ass rock’n’roll way with the aim to release some new music and hit the road to play a bunch of gigs.

Months… ok years later, the band shared a limited release (only for the fans) EP called Rock You All. It’s now available to buy on CD via bandcamp, or to / stream via many online services.
