Ten Ton Slug to release “Hunting Ground” single and video on August 2nd

Ten Ton Slug play riff-driven sludge from the west of Ireland and will premiere a video for brand new song “Hunting Ground” through Metal Injection on August 2nd, in between performances on the main stage of Metaldays in Slovenia and as main to Rotting Christ on the Sophie Lancaster stage on the Thursday night at Bloodstock 2019.

The song is the first new material released since 2017’s excellently received Blood and Slime EP and is the first song to feature new addition Pavol Rosa on bass. It is weighty sludgy riff-filled heft in the vein of the bands previous output and is a taste of some of the material to come on the band’s full length due in 2020.

Ten Ton Slug have stepped up production for this video and it is the first time they incorporate a story along with band performance, as opposed to just live footage as in the previous video “Matriarch of Slime” filmed by Padraig Conaty during the Ten Ton Slug’s slots with Black Label Society in 2017.

The song was recorded, mixed and mastered by Ciaran Culhane at Ciaran Culhane Recording in Limerick, Ireland, and the video was filmed in Ireland in See House in county Cavan. It was directed and edited by Padraig Conaty and stars Tommy Sharkey, Katrina Brady & Mark Connolly.

In addition to the new song release and festival slots the band released new “Slugzilla” shirts recently and opened a preorder for limited edition shirts for their Bloodstock festival appearance, both available via their bandcamp store. Get your Slug (literally) on!
