What news to wake up to – at only 34 years of age, Power Trip frontman Riley Gale has ed away (no other information at this time). The news was released by his family who say he was taken from us yesterday (August 25th). It was later confirmed in a statement from the band.
Power Trip were, of course, due over here a few months ago with Lamb of God, but due to the current pandemic we missed out on the chance to see Gale entertain for – as it turns out – one last time.
We’ll update once we know more, but at the end of it all the only thing that matters is that Gale enjoyed a meteoric rise fronting a band that came out of nowhere to absolutely slay audiences worldwide. He will be sorely missed and our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues.
As always, we won’t dwell on the sad news but instead celebrate his creativity and output with a sample of the music he leaves us. Here’s their full 2018 set from Bloodstock. Enjoy… and raise a beer.
