I pretty much never do “single” news in advance. I mean, it’s a single. These days it’s just a promo piece for the album, not an event like it used to be years ago where you’d buy all the versions for the many different B-sides (got to love The Wildhearts for that) or the cover art, or the remixes (if the band had no imagination).
However, this is Seething Akira. And I bloody love Seething Akira.
“Knock Off God” is available from January 21st, and you may hear it on various forms of radio over the next week in the lead-up to this. Much as I’d love to, I can’t put it up here (and I’d not want anyone pinching a free ) but rest assured we’ll be reminding you that it’s out next Friday. The song is typical of the band, full of crunching rhythms, bass drops, catchy beats, strident guitars and bitter yet relatable lyrics.
