Former Band of the Day The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara [TCOMAS] announce the release of a new song, “At The Worlds End” – available as a single and video coming out on February 5, 2021. The song is the lead single from their forthcoming debut album, titled Full Spectrum, which will be released on February 26, 2021.
The duo continue their efforts to raise awareness for an Earth in crisis with their seventh single, “At The Worlds End”, a post-apocalyptic, progressive metal elegy. The song imagines the world in the end times in order to raise awareness on the effects of mankind’s actions on our planet’s environment.
Citing a recent United Nations study, the artists say, “Human actions threaten more species with global extinction now than ever before. We all have to do our part as citizens of earth.” To make their message accessible, the song is told through the eyes of two lovers who exchange a final declaration of love in a post-apocalyptic elegy, on the last day on earth. Mournful yet resolute, the lovers’ final parting valediction in the song’s lyrics also offers a glimpse of a possible future and the hope of a new world, when they pledge to meet each other again, “where it all began, at The Worlds End”.

The song, together with the other 10 tracks in their forthcoming debut album, Full Spectrum, was recorded between February and June of 2020 when Daphne Ang (Singapore) and Andrea Papi (Italy) came together as The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara to compose and produce a full album at their home studio during the first London Lockdown.
The duo are fast establishing their niche as pioneers of a new form of expression through the performance of poetry in their genre-defying music. In less than half a year, they introduced themselves to the world with six remarkable self-produced singles amidst the bizarre events of 2020. Their latest single, “Love in the Time of Pestilence”, was recently featured in two Spotify Editorial playlists, “Progressive Metal” [personalised], and “The oTHERS”, consecrating the new band’s music with “the most innovative and forward thinking metal of today”.
Already lauded to be “One of the Best Albums of 2021” by Turn Up the Volume!, the duo’s 67 minute-long debut album ‘Full Spectrum’ will include previously released singles as well as some new songs.
