It never rains…. after yesterday’s devastating news of the early ing of Joey Jordison, news is coming through of ZZ Top’s bassist Dusty Hill leaving this mortal coil at the age of 72. Managing to be in a band for 50 years is as impressive as the man’s beard, and he was still giving it his all until a recent hip injury. A band statement says that he ed peacefully in his sleep.
As ever, our thoughts go out to his family, friends and bandmates, and we choose to celebrate Dusty’s life with an example of his prodigious output. The afterlife has gained another rock and roll legend.
