Kreator

German thrash metal gods Kreator are proud to announce a very special re-release of their 2001 masterpiece Violent Revolution for its 20th anniversary!

The reissue of Violent Revolution is scheduled for a January 21, 2022 release through Nuclear Blast Records and it will include a huge selection of assorted live bootleg recordings, grouped together under the name Bootleg Revolution. The 20th anniversary edition of Violent Revolution will be available on various formats, including Digital Album, CD Jewelcase, CD Digipak, Double LP, Cassette and a Ltd. Edition 4LP+2CD Boxset, which will also include an exclusive Kreator comic book called Graphic Violence – Chapter 1.

Rat King

Seattle Death/Grind vermin Rat King return with a new EP, Santa Hipocresía (translation: Holy Hypocrisy), on December 10 on digital and cassette formats via Within The Mind Records!

Following up their 2020 full-length album Vicious Inhumanity, the new EP sees the band continue down the path of breakneck speed and death in delivery of its unique brand of death metal and grindcore.

Sothoris

After three years of publishing silence, Sothoris is back! Listen to the first song “Opus Dei” from Wpiekłowstąpienie (eng. “Harrowing of Hell”) below.

On the new album, second in the discography, entitled Wpiekłowstąpienie (eng. eng. “Harrowing of Hell”) Polish band Sothoris (blackened death metal) show their more brutal face. The musical layer is full of aggressive guitar parts interspersed with melodic solos and devilish blasts of Hrist. Raven’s vocalist once again decided to sing in native, Polish language.

The album will be out on January 6th, 2022.

Cold Collective

Boston-based band Cold Collective announce their album, Weathervane, out 3rd December via Rise Records.

Vocalist Tim Landers (Cold Collective, Transit, Misser) began working on songs for this new album before his untimely ing in 2019. To honour Tim, the band finished the songs together, leaving some in their original acoustic state. Together with the Landers family, all pre-orders include a $5 donation to Dean’s House – a sober living home in Massachusetts where Tim stayed during his recovery.

“Words can’t express how excited we are to finally show you all this album that we started many years ago with our brother Tim,” Cold Collective share in a statement. “While the process was both technically and emotionally harder than any of us bargained for, we couldn’t be prouder of the results. Tim took a staggering number of songs with him when he left us. We present to you these 16, as selected by Tim’s nearest and dearest.”

“Tim’s music is a gift,” Tim’s father Terry Landers shares. “We love that more of his heart and work are being shared through this release.”

Mariangela Demurtas

Vocalist and songwriter, Mariangela Demurtas, (lead singer of the Norwegian bands Tristania and Ardours) will unleash her debut solo EP Dark Ability on January 14 2022.

Having been singing from a young age, Mariangela’s journey as a professional singer began in 2007 with Tristania, a pioneer of gothic metal in the world. Since ing Tristania, they have released two albums: Rubicon in 2008 and Darkest White in 2013. Mariangela has worked with well-known producers such as Waldemar Sorychta, Sasha Gerstner and Cris Cedeberg. Along with touring across continents and sharing stages with the likes of Moonspell, Dark Tranquillity, Orphaned Land and more.

Ardours began in 2016, formed by Mariangela together with Kris Laurent, an old friend. They released an album on Frontiers Records in 2019 titled Last Place On Earth and along with their 2020 EP Eu4ia. Ardours took to the stage with major names including Paradise Lost prior to the pandemic bringing a halt to further shows. Now they are waiting with eager anticipation to return to the live scene.

Mariangela’s voice is powerful and versatile, complementing a wide range of musical styles. She initially wrote wrote her solo EP in 2013 but it remained unreleased, unsure of the musical direction to take. Initially choosing to release her solo work on Patreon, Mariangela is preparing to unleash her EP into the wider world and make her solo debut in 2021.
