UK shock rockers and in-house favourites Ward XVI have announced a dramatic change to their look and style. Now called Ward Sixteen, their new image will have them dropping the face paint and theatrics to focus on a more conventional style of rock music.
Guitarist David Stott:
We’ve been leaning to a more straightforward style for a while now, and you can’t help but to be influenced by the trends and popularity of the current rock scene in the UK, hopefully we’ll get opportunity to get our music heard by a more mainstream audience as most radio stations refuse to play 7 minute songs, and to be honest, people tend to judge a book by its cover and I think at times the facepaint and blood put many people off the music even before they had heard a note played. We’re looking forward to the new chapter as Ward Sixteen.
