Wow, this one’s going to hit hard and comes out of nowhere. Not many people truly justify the epithet “legend”, but Jeff Beck truly does. Sadly, his social media outlets posted a short while ago online to inform the music world of his ing:
On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck’s ing. After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully ed away yesterday. His family ask for privacy while they process this tremendous loss.
Beck has been around for so long that it’s going to be strange having a world without him. As always, though, we leave our thoughts with his family, friends and those who worked alongside him – and the musical legacy (or at least a small part of it) that will survive him for many years to come.
