Tantrum is proud to continue its annual tradition with the release of a Christmas single and an accompanying five-track EP, slated to bring joy and to those in need during the holiday season.
This year’s offering features a captivating reimagining of their hit single, “Sands of Time”, originally from the Another Life album. The track transforms into a tale of intrigue and mystery under the title “Santa Time,” exploring themes of theft, tyranny, kidnapping, and enigmatic disappearances.
In a heartfelt effort to make a positive impact on the lives of those facing challenges, particularly during the festive season, Tantrum has pledged to donate 100% of all profits generated from the digital EP sales. The beneficiaries of this charitable initiative will be the remarkable individuals at Glasgow’s Spirit of Christmas. For a decade, this organization has been dedicated to bringing smiles to the faces of children who would otherwise experience a Christmas without the joy of gifts and celebration.
In a departure from the norm, Tantrum is elevating its contribution this year to give something back to their own ers. Rather than a single release, the band has curated a five-track EP. In addition to their “Santa Time” single, the EP features covers of iconic tracks, including Bruce Dickinson’s “Road to Hell”, Thin Lizzy’s “Cold Sweat”, Iron Maiden’s “The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner” and a full rearrangement of Simon and Garfunkel’s seminal “Hazy Shade of Winter”. All tracks showcase the band’s current lineup, with vocalist Mark taking on the role of drummer.
