After the release of their first single and music video “Queen of All Lies”, the Brazilian heavy metal band Kaledonia, led by vocalist and keyboardist JP Pretti, reveals the artwork and release date of their debut album Far Beyond The Light which will be released on August 8, 2024. The album was produced by JP Pretti and Hélinho Castelhano, and mastered by Brendan Duffey, known for his work with Andre Matos, Kiko Loureiro, Devin Townsend, and Bruce Dickinson. Far Beyond The Light also features special guests Leandro Caçoilo (Viper), Tito Falaschi, and Gabriel Truck.
JP Pretti stated that he brought together in this record everything he seeks in music: catchy melodies and choruses. “Regardless of the style of music you like, what usually sticks in the listener’s mind is the melody, the chorus, so I’ve always liked to compose with that in mind, and here it was no different. The proof of this is the we are receiving with the single ‘Queen of All Lies,’ precisely because of the catchy chorus,” he analyzes. Besides JP Pretti, the band also includes Bruno Luiz on guitar, Fernando Giovannetti on bass, and Marcus Dotta on drums.
Far Beyond The Light will be available on major digital streaming platforms and also as a physical CD.
