Just six short weeks ‘til they throw open the gates at Catton Park and the metal hoardes flood onto the hallowed turf for Bloodstock 2016!
To celebrate, day tickets are being released now – 9am, Friday 1st July. Ticket prices have been frozen for the fourth year running at £60 each (+ booking fee) and are available from See Tickets.
If you can’t make it for the whole weekend, come the metal party for just one day and catch one of 2016’s headliners; the legendary Twisted Sister on Friday for their last ever UK show [I’ve begged and pleaded with my wife to be allowed to go purely for this set alone… and she’s letting me! YAY! – Mosh], prog metal titans Mastodon on Saturday, or closing out the weekend on Sunday, global thrash icons, Slayer.

Subscribe to the official Bloodstock YouTube channel, then have a look through all the awesome video clips. Pick your favourite video from the channel and publicly share it on your network of choice; Facebook, Twitter or Google+. If you’re already subscribed to the YouTube channel, just pick your choice and share. Simples! If you share on Facebook, make sure you set the audience of the post to ‘public’ so the nice folk at Bloodstock Central can see it on your wall. If they can’t see it, your entry won’t be counted!
Each week between now and the festival weekend in August, the Bloodstock will trawl the ‘shares’ from their YouTube channel and select a winner at random to win a pair of weekend tickets! There’ll also be other ‘spot’ prizes for randomly selected winners during this period, including ‘Upgrade’ vouchers that convert a standard ticket to a Serpent’s Lair VIP hospitality ticket (you’ll need to already have a standard ticket in hand to activate the upgrade, or you can purchase one if you win the ‘upgrade’ voucher), a raft of Bloodstock and band merchandise goodie bags, or the chance for you and a mate to watch side stage for selected band performances! So plenty of opportunities to win, by merely sharing a video on your page.
