Announced in a live facebook broadcast a short while ago, Judas Priest will be filling the Friday slot at next year’s Bloodstock Festival.
Ian Hill himself appeared to make the announcement and their addition completes the bill-toppers with Gojira on the Saturday and Nightwish on the Sunday.
For my money, this is a superb trio offering variety in of both age and genre while still all being undeniably metal. Priest always put on a superb performance, Gojira are “the people’s choice” after their appearance in 2016 and Nightwish round it up well with a sidestep into orchestral metal with an undeniably theatrical stage show.
Sure, there are other bands that people will say that Bloodstock “should” have got, but what we have is a very solid line-up for 2018 at least as far as the top tier goes. Let’s see who’s coming along to them! I know we will be!
Tickets are already on sale in all shapes and sizes.
